Roel van Gorkum
Hello! I am Roel, 39 years old and with a Master’s degree as a BioMedical Engineer from the Technical University of Delft in The Netherlands. I live close to Amsterdam with my wife and two children.
I developed tinnitus at the end of 2018 due to mild hearing damage and stress. This was the beginning of a very difficult period. I was fighting my tinnitus, but no matter what I tried, the ringing in my ear only got worse.
Because there was little information available at the time, I did my own research into the best methods to alleviate tinnitus. I combined Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy into the Still Tinnitus method.
This method worked so well that my tinnitus no longer plays a role in my life. Even if I do hear it on a bad day, it doesn’t bother me like it used to.
I know very well how miserable tinnitus can be, especially if you can’t find good help. That’s why my goal is to help 10,000 people to no longer suffer from tinnitus. A happy life with tinnitus is possible!

Martijn Bosveld
I’m Martijn, a psychologist specializing in Clinical and Health Psychology since 2012. Two decades ago, after spending too much time near the speakers at a festival, I developed a persistent ringing in my ears.
The realization that silence might never return left me frustrated and uneasy. Over the years, I’ve mastered techniques to navigate life with tinnitus, and I’d love to assist you on your journey too!
My extensive experience as a coach and psychologist has allowed me to help individuals with a diverse range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, existential questions, stress & burnout, and assertiveness.
I draw on various therapeutic approaches, such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I’ll equip you with robust strategies to not only cope with tinnitus but also address the root causes. Together, we’ll empower you to regain control over your life, allowing you to live with tinnitus rather than letting it dictate your path.

Michelle Bakker
Hi! I am Michelle Bakker, registered psychologist. After a Bachelors degree in Social Pedagogical Assistance, I obtained my Master’s degree in Social and Organizational Psychology at the University of Leiden.
I have been working in care since 2001, where I have experienced a wide range of people, problems and backgrounds. Every contact is unique and I am grateful to be able to experience that. I have also had the feeling that my tinnitus will never go away. Yet you can really do something about it.
I can help you deal with tinnitus and address your underlying complaints. You gain resilience through a stronger self-image and acting from your own beliefs. This will help you deal with your tinnitus better and be stronger in the future.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy and mindfulness. I would like to help you!
